About the Game

Thing Thing 1 is the first installment in the popular Thing Thing series of Flash action-shooting games. Players control a genetically modified experiment known as Thing Thing, who escapes from a laboratory and must fight through hostile environments. The game features side-scrolling shooter mechanics with an arsenal of weapons including pistols, shotguns, and submachine guns. With smooth animations and gory effects, it demands quick reflexes and precise aim to survive waves of enemies. As the series opener, it established the core gameplay and style that would be expanded in later titles.

How to Play

The game is a 2D side-scrolling shooter. Players move, jump, and shoot their way through levels filled with enemies. The objective is to eliminate all foes and progress. Doors must be opened to advance, and a variety of weapons can be swapped on the fly. Enemy types vary in behavior and toughness. Health does not regenerate, so dodging attacks is crucial. The pacing is fast, requiring good hand-eye coordination and quick weapon selection.
