Nine Men's Morris is a two-player strategy board game where players align pieces to form mills and remove opponent's pieces.

About the Game

Nine Men's Morris is a classic two-player strategy board game dating back to the Roman Empire. Played on a grid of 24 intersections, each player has nine pieces. Players take turns placing pieces on empty intersections, aiming to form a 'mill'—three pieces in a straight line—to remove an opponent's piece. After all pieces are placed, players move one piece per turn to an adjacent empty intersection. The game ends when a player has only two pieces left or cannot move. This WebGL version runs directly in the browser on desktop and mobile devices.

How to Play

Players alternate placing pieces on the board's intersections. Forming a mill (three in a row) allows removal of an opponent's piece (except those in a mill). After placement, players move one piece to an adjacent empty spot each turn. The goal is to reduce the opponent to two pieces or immobilize them.
