Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is a Metroidvania action-adventure game developed by Team Cherry. Set in the decaying insect kingdom of Hallownest, once a prosperous land, a mysterious plague known as 'The Infection' has turned its inhabitants into hollow, aggressive beings. Players control a silent knight who ventures into this dark, beautiful world, exploring forgotten cities, gloomy caverns, and lost forests. Along the way, you will face infected enemies and massive bosses, unlock new abilities to open previously unreachable paths, and gradually uncover the truth behind Hallownest's fall. Players control the knight in a 2D hand-drawn world, using jump, attack, and spells to fight. Core gameplay involves exploring a vast interconnected map, discovering hidden paths and secrets; engaging in real-time combat with various enemies and bosses requiring precise timing and skill; collecting 'Soul' to cast spells or heal; and acquiring charms and upgrades to enhance abilities. The game encourages backtracking to use new abilities to access previously unreachable areas.
