Boxling's Garden is a first-person immersive simulation game where players engage in gardening alongside whimsical cube-shaped creatures known as boxlings. The core gameplay involves planting seeds, nurturing plants, harvesting crops, and catering to the unique appetites of the boxlings. By selling harvested produce, players earn money to upgrade and expand their garden, creating a beautiful and thriving ecosystem. The game emphasizes exploration and interaction, allowing players to freely rotate the view and observe every corner of the garden, building a deep connection with the boxlings. As the garden grows, new plant species and boxling types unlock, bringing more challenges and fun.
Players control a character using mouse and keyboard to move around the garden. Main activities include: selecting seeds and planting them in soil, watering regularly to promote growth; harvesting mature crops and either selling them or feeding them to boxlings; boxlings will request specific foods, and fulfilling their requests yields rewards. The game features an upgrade system where players can use earned coins to purchase better tools, unlock new areas, and decorative items. The garden layout can be freely planned, requiring players to strategically arrange planting zones and boxling activity spaces. As the game progresses, tasks become more challenging, demanding efficient planting strategies and resource management.
